I've got a '94 Ford Explorer that I want to change the front hubs into lock out hubs instead of the push button electronic stuff. It hasn't been too trustworthy. I've seen on the parts store carries this conversion but not sure as to what all is really gonna be involved. Anyone done this or know what it's gonna take?

the only parts you can change to make it manual are the hubs, and thats not a bad job at all, you will still have to use the pushbutton to activate the transfer case though, and the motor on the transfer cases likes to go out also, if i owned one id find a few to keep as spares at a parts store or some used ones if you know how to check the and make sure they work

yea the kit comes with the washers and cams and stuff i belive. you gotta take the hub off and change out some stuff to allow the manuals to fit right.
