I grew up fishing the Sulphur from where it dumps into the Red at the old Spring Bank Ferry at Doddridge, all the way to the Texas state line. We usually put in at the ferry and motored up river. But sometimes we would drive up to Alex Smith state park and fish up close to the Texas line.

Spent a many a night on that river back in the 80's. Caught a lot of cats. There is an old train tressel that had a big wash out below it that would hold some big blue cats when they were releasing a lot of water out of Wright Patman Dam.

Been probably 15 years or so since I've been on it though! This is bringin' up some good memories!!!
