This weekend BASS PRO has a sale here in ST. LOUIS that if you bring in a reel in working order in you get so much off of a new reel. For the price of 75.00 to 99.00 you get 15.00 off, last year I got a PENN 320 GT2 haven't used it yet but it feels like a horse. I already have a AMBASSADEUR 7000C3 and love the way it throws, just don't know which way to go I mainly fish lakes and a River every now and then. Was bidding on a slightly used 7000c3 on EBAY it eventually went for 78.00 with 8.50 shipping, with the 15.00 discount I could buy a brand new one for 86.00 and only have to pay around 10.00 for a brand new reel.

I have both the 320 gt2 and the 7000, you cant go wrong with either, also you might want to look into getting an abu 6500

Thought about the 6500c3 but my wife kind of mentioned that she might get me one with another ugly stick for our anniversary in MAY. Lost one on a 7' ugly stick at Carlyle lake here in Illinois about a yr. and a half ago, was fishing and let my dad use the outfit. Well, he laid it down on a rock and before I could turn around saw the whole thing slide across the ground into the water, keep telling myself it was a big cat, but I'm sure it was either a big drum, gar or carp. Have an old 6500c3 and a 6000 which I still use alot, kind of leaning toward the 7000 cause I mainly channel cat and last time I used it for channel catfishing it was great.

Abu 6500 for my "lighter" channel fishing but also have used for flathead's spooled with a little heavier line. Abu 7000 upgraded with carbon matrix drags and Penn 310GTI and Jigmaster my favorites for flatheads. Can't go wrong with any of them.

Bought me another 7000c3 Sunday at BASS PRO, decided not to get a PENN 320 GT2 cause I won one on EBAY this weekend. I really do love the way the 7000's handle, it's been a good weekend---I now have 2 7000c3's and 2 320 gt2's to my name---I'm a happy camper. Do to a little mix-up on EBAY I won't be getting my TIGER rod that I won so I'll be in the look out for at least one if not 2 new rods. I'll probably order 2 Medium TIGERS from BASS PRO, I think that will be a good match.
