sure it should, just tie a not somewhere above ur hook 3-4ft above hook
If you can keep it attached it will work fine.
Like Lyle said, if you can keep it attached - thats the trick. Remember, when it comes loose, it will not rot or decompose. It is just something else added to the outdoor environment. You sure you don't want to just spend the few cents and get the right stuff?
You could use plastic coat on it to keep it from adding fromthe trash around the lake. If your looking for a good free bobber use a 16-20 ounce plastic bottle poke a hole in the lid insert a swivel place a piece of clothes hanger to hold the swivel and hot glue are silicon the hole closed. screw the lid back onto the bottle ans viola a big free bobber.
