I went sturgeon fishing for the first time last weekend! I ended up going into the water after this bad boy! Exactly 72 inches and the top of the slot limit. I tried to weigh it on my 50 pound cheap scale and broke the scale!

Deltalover, that's a beauty! I sure miss fishing for Sturgeon but fishing for cats on the Mississippi river brings back the same kind of memories.

I grew up just down the road from you. I imagine you know where Livermore is, LOL.

Man, Phillip you've come back to the board with a vengeance!!! That is a nice fish. I'd love to go sturgeon fishing one day. What was the rig?(rod, reel, line, and so on) Is that a white sturgeon? Has to be...that is a beauty. How long did it take you to land the fish? What did you estimate the weight to be?Keep 'em coming!!!

Very, very, nice fish. Please keep the details coming. I think I would enjoy the fight story and going in after it.
