Structure or channel?

    When you are fishing in rivers do you catch more catfish near structure or out in the channel. We uasally anchore at a logjam but I think we catch just as many if not more casting out in the channels.

    Anytime structure is present then you will be better off targeting the structure. If you can locate structure with the sonar that is not visible to the naked eye then you have found a potentially great spot. If this structure is in a river bend then you've won the lottery :wink::smile2:. I've got 3 rules I go by Location, Location, Location :wink:.

    yeah id have to go with the structure myself unless its right after a rain then i might hit the channels and diffinetly the mouths of those feeder creeks.

    i find structure is better during the day
