me and my dad are thinking about taking our 16' lowe john boat to go fish some this thanksgiving break in a week for stripers. If anyone knows, what lake should we go to and what tactics do you recommend? thanks alot.

I know Kerr lake is a very good striper lake but not sure how the fishing has been this year...

I have caught plenty of nice stripers from that lake....if the stripers are hitting then you will usually catch a blue cat as they are usually swimming in the same vicinity...

We usually free line shad under a ballon or if they are suspended we drift fish vertcaly at the same depth we are marking on the fish finder

    Good luck!!!

I think we might try Jordan since it is closer to were we live.
