Striper fishing at Smith Mtn. Lake

    took my boys striper fishing thursday on smith mtn. lake, trying to post pics. biggest ones were 31",33",35"and 28" batteries went out on scales so didn't have any weights.

    put this in wrong area first time will try again. Took my boys striper fishing on smith mtn. lake, they had a good time, biggest ones caught thursday were 31",33",35",28" my batteries went out on scales so I don't have any weights.

    Sounds like a good day on the water. Here's average weights on those size fish. Some real nice stripes, Smith Mtn. sounds like it's rebounding well from the copepods. To bad their in Murray now :angry:.

    28 - 10.3 lbs.
    31 - 13
    33 - 15.8
    35 - 18

    These are just averages, add some to it if they had eggs or sacks in them. Great Job.

    yes they are pier pressure, thanks for the weights thats about what I figured from past exp. They had 36 citations last year,this is the best time of year to get one.

    we caught them on alewives easy to get especially this time of year.
