Hey guys was at buggs about a month ago and found this guy on a lost "noodle" actually a 20 oz mt dew bottle that someone had left behind. Just thought i would share it. could anyone give me a good guess as to what they think it might weight, didnt have a scale that day. Im 6'4 and it was long and my leg so....
Thought you guys might enjoy. i set her free in case anyone is wondering.

Just a wild guess but I would say around 45-50 The first pic it looks huge but the second and third looks like my guess but thats a guess. Nice fish no matter what it weighed.

Im really bad at guessing the weight of blues, but I've caught alot right around 20 pounds and that one is definitely bigger than that. I would guess well over 30, maybe even close to 40 pounds? But I could definitely be wrong. Pictures never really do a fish justice. Im surprised you were even able to catch up with that fish on a mountain dew bottle. Seems like it would just sink that thing and head for deep water when your boat got close! Either way, thanks for the post and especially thanks for the release! There is alot of stink in the air right now about irresponsible jug fisherman out at Buggs.

That thing can be 24# or 50#...who knows ,,,aint worth guessing.....Either way, he is a really ice fish. Think after that ride I woulda let him go ; )~
