Strange thing no eggs

    It's strange the fish that I caught Saturday night had no eggs in them.
    spawning? I don't think so if the spawn is on then the fish that I caught have already dropped them.
    What do you think?

    May have already dropped them . Or you caught all males that was hungry from coming off the nest .

    yea-one of them had a six inch skipjack in its belly.
    It was a mixed bag of channels and blues.

    I caught 3 last week (friday). 2 were full of eggs. I would guess we are early in the spawn but it has started. Before the rain, when water temp was 73-75 degrees that should have triggered them

    I have caught fish here in Ohio before in septmeber that were full of eggs, some could be late spawners.

    Catfish start producing eggs early like in september we have caught them in December full of eggs. Guess them eggs have to grow a while to before they spawn
