Does anyone know where I can buy some hinged storage hatch lids/doors? I thought I saw them in a catalog but cant seem to find them now. They need to be stout enough to walk on. Thanks.

All the boating stores like West Marine and Boaters World have online catalogues and both carry a complete line of Bomar hatches.
Get ready to pull your wallet out for a good hatch that has a water seal and drainage channel.

I'm building a drop deck in the front of my 1652 mod vee jon, basically it will be extend forward, level with the center seat and meet up about 8" below the small factory deck at the bow. It will be 1"x1" aluminum sq. tube frame, skinned with 1/8" 6061T6 aluminum sheet. Painted O.D. green mixed with silica sand. The remainder of the floor will be covered in 1-1/2" styrofoam insulation between the ribs with the same 1/8" aluminum sheet pop rivited to the ribs.
