Had to set the camera on automatic so I kinda cut my head off but got the fish. The one i'm holding was the 33 lb and the on in the boat was 36 lb forgot about the automatic timer and released the fish then I remembered the camera had a automatic shutter.

I was fishing the Potomac River in Maryland & Virginia south of Washington DC. It is a Tidal River, A lot like the James River in Virginia. I was using live bluegills had two rods with fresh cut and one with a whole live with the tail on. Lately it seems I've been catching my biggest fish on the live whole bluegill in the 5" class. Most of the fish coming on the last 2 hours of incoming tide and the first 2 hours of the outgoing tide. In the last 2 weeks I have caught 28 blues, biggest weighing at 43 lb several in the 30 lb most being in the mid to upper 20's plus a few runts. I'm fishing the edge of the channels near large flats. The flats can be shallow to mid depths 3-12 ft the edges of the channels range from the 25 to mid 50 foot levels. Using a North Carolinia Rig with 3 oz of weight with 50lb leader and a 7/0 circle hook.

Great catch, but if you are like me still catching them or not just being able to be there fishing is the biggest success of all.Remember the saying goes "You cant win if you dont play" goes for about anything we do.
