a few years ago i was really wanting a handgun i could carry on me while fishing and being in the woods and i ended up trading a weatherby mark V 300 win mag for a STI .45 acp. i was told yesterday that i was a sucker and that the gun i have isnt worth a thing. i cant seem to find out what this gun is worth,i have been able to find several reviews on this gun and all of the reviews say this gun is great handgun and i couldnt find 1 bad review on it. the guy that told me this is a gun dealer and i took the gun in wanting to trade it for a savage bolt action pistol in 22-250. he said i would have to give him 150 and my gun for that pistol. then he droppe dit down to 100 bucks and my handgun. now this guy has tried to screw me before on a banneli SBE i tried to trade him for a browning 10ga pump,he told me the same thing then, that the banelli wasnt worth it,now i know that is a crock cause i gave $1100 for the banneli and the browning sold new for around 700-800.
but anyway if anyone can find me a price on the STI .45 ill throw some rep points your way. thanks

Best thing i can tell you is too write into guns & ammo and see what they say about the history of the gun. I know you'll have to send in the make, model and serial number. Hope this helps you out some.

I don't think I'd be dealing with that gun dealer. If there is a Barnes & Noble
(or other big bookstore), you can look at gun value books off the shelf without having to buy the book. Hope this helps.
