This is a bait I have made for about a year and I've caught cats up to 10 pounds with it.

    Here's the recipe below:

    1-2 frozen shad
    20 chicken livers
2 tbsp garlic salt or powder
1-2 cups of Wheaties more for thicker bait

Blend the shad and livers in a blender or food processor. Poor in to a bowl. Mix in the garlic for about 5 minutes. Take the Wheaties and put in a one gallon size ziplock bag and crush them in the bag. Pour into the liver and shad mix. Mix it up for 5 minutes. Put in peanut butter jars and freeze or put in the refrigerater.

    Good Luck.

My wife got real upset when I put shad in the blender. She bought a new one and told me to keep the old one. It is handy in the garage.

I really don't understand why the wives have to get mad, we wash the blenders out.

Sounds like a good recipe and thanks for sharing. As for the blender situation I guess I'M just lucky. I was looking at one at a yard sale the other day and the better half ask what I needed that for,so I told her to make up bait. Anyway she say's why we have one in the kitchen we never use. Said to take and use it if I wanted. So far I haven't but am thinking about it. Truthfully she boesn't care for blenders so just maybe. We'll see.

One never knows what will work until you try it. Thanks for sharing this reciept. All men should put blenders and foodsavers on their christmas request list. If it appears that no one took the hint, then go out and buy it and write on the card. " To You From You".
