My brother-inlaw has a 1994 javelin fish and ski. On the water it handles like a dream, but motor down to trailer it and it's almost impossible to steer. He's a big ol boy strong as an ox and it's all he can do to line it up.
Any suggestions I can pass on to him would be appreciated.

Take the hook up tube that goes through the bracket under the motor and remove the stering cylinder. Take a 12 ga. shotgun bore brush and a drill and clean that tube out. Then take a 12 ga bore mop and finish cleaning it out with some good spray break cleaner, The reinstall every thing and regrease it all with marine type grease.
