Steering Lube ?

    Is there a special LUBE to put in the steering on a Mariner or can a regular grease be used safely ?? What "Can" I use and what "SHOULD " I use??

    wally try calling Larrys Marine he will let ya talk to the Tech and get you the right answer... and do you get to fish arrowhead much ?? im over in Vernon and be going over there alot here lately went on the 14th and son and i caught 10 small went 3lb bigest went 8lb all where good size well take care and chat with ya later and hope this helps on your queston.......:smile2:

    Wally, if you're having trouble with the steering at the tilt tube, you might need it cleaned and reamed out.

    Do you have one of those nuts with a grease fitting in it at the tilt tube?

    Larry there is a special lube for that i dont rember the number off hand but your merc dealer will be able to set you up and tell you the lube points.
