where is the steam plant at? a plumber i work with says will go up there one weekend, im at kannapolis , just curius about some general info on it, thanks alot

there is one steam plant i know of marshall steam plant which is off hwy 150 on north end of the lake. I wont ever go there again outside of being in a boat fishing two last times i had been there ( 3 yrs ago ) work van had ladders on top of it stolen and my personal truck was broken into and 5 dollars of change in the ash tray was stolen.

What steam plant? Is it even in NC? Kinda need to narrow it down a little?

You need to put in at the york hill access which if you take 85 north from kanapolis, its on the other side of salisbury and spencer. As soon as you cross the river on 85 take the hwy150 exit, go 1/2 and take first road on the left. The access is about a mile on the right, When you put your boat in the water go down river and the steam plant will be on your right, you cant miss it. I warn you this is not a good time to fish around the steam plant bc the water is 100 degrees right now and there really are not any fish hanging around there right now. If you put in at york hill a good place to fish are the big log jams on the bridge pilons. Ive heard of some good catches recently. Good luck and let us know how you do.

The fish on my avatar was caught within sight of that boat ramp. Thats proof that big fish hang around that place.
