spent some time with friends in halifax for a little fishing on the river
You guys did all right! Thanks for posting.
great report, at least someone is catching fish.
Taylor thanks for the report and the pictures, the Staunton is one of my favorite rivers to fish but I usually only fish it in the spring. We usually fish around Brookneil and I think the water level is probably too low in that area to get down the river very far in that area. Recenent rains may have brought it up, what's it looking like down there?
its low right now. we fish from the bank about 10 miles up river from the bridge. my friend has some river front land down route 40 and there are sum deep channels an holes up there. right now we just need sum good steady rain to bring it up:roll_eyes: hope this helps
Taylor yall are fishing in a good stretch of water there. I think between Cat Rock and Melrose is one of the best places on the river to catch flat heads. I have seen and pulled alot of monsters out around fish trap & Melrose. I think yall have a pretty good honey hole. Keep up the good work.
Welcome to the BPC Jason and thanks for the post!
Welcome to the BOC, Jason. It's good to have another fisherman on board from that part of Virginia! :0a25:
Nice catch thanks for the report.
