What are your state records for catfish and when were they caught, and when do you think they will be broken?

    Nebraska

    Blue Catfish 100 lbs 8 oz 1970
    Channel Catfish 41 lbs 8 oz 1985
    Flathead Catfish 80 lbs 1988
Bullhead (no species given) 3 lbs 15 oz 1984

I think that the Nebraska flathead record will fall within the next 5 years, for blues 2-3 years, channels will stand for a while, bullhead is hard to tell.

Well the world record blue cat was caught in IL last year, and who knows how long that will stand. I wouldn't be suprised to see one bigger than that pulled out of the river in Illinois at some point. The state record channel was 35 and flathead when 78. It's hard to say when and where in the state those records will be broken. I also have no idea when the various bullhead records will be broken, and I'm not too concerned about them. I'd rather catch one of the big three.

The MD State Record Blue (a mere 53#) and Channel (27 nontidal, 29 tidal) are likely to be broken at some point in the next year or two (atleast the Blue cat one is). Maybe even at the Red Cross Fundraising Tournament That Tim Hagan is putting on at Ft. Washington August 12 through 13th. (You should come and fish it) but at some of the other tournies this year down on the potomac too possibly....

There is no offical Bullhead Record, or Flathead because they don't consider those fish worthy i guess (those basturds)

The Texas records are as follows
    Rod and Reel
    Channel - 36.5
    Flathead - 98.5
    Blue - 121.5

    Trot Line
    Channel - 37.07
    Flathead - 114
    Blue - 116

There was a 47.22lb Channel caught out of a private lake awhile back. As to when these records will be broke i have no idea the R&R Channel as stood since 1965. It will take quit a fish to break the mark for the Flathead and Blue here in Texas. I just hope i can put enough time in on the water to catch a decent fish.

Thats a keen idea John...... I won't tell if you don't who cares if its only 2 feet long and looks like a beachball.... I think that we will see conciderably bigger cats in the near future, due to there being no commercial fishing!
