Anyone ever fish there? It is in Hazlewood Missouri. I have never been there. I saw the area map on Mo dept. of Conservation. It looks like a slough of the Missouri River. Just wondering if this would be a good spot to try.. It is pretty close to home.

It's a long walk in from the parking lot & the water is pretty shallow. However if you feel like takin the haul, you can cross the backwater & walk across the island & fish the MO itself. Just be prepared for a hike brother.

thats no joke man, in fact a hike might be a bit of an understatment. i would recomend gettin your hands on a bike and set it up with some rod holders and maybe a basket. i did this because some great fishing spots are hidden behind a 2 mile hike.
