    Howdy all,
I went up to Springer Lake last weekend for some Channel Cats. I was skunked on the cats but caught a bunch of Bullheads and this pretty nice Pike.
    Have a good one, Jim

    Hey Richard.
I was using a mackeral(sp.) type fish that I get from an Asian market here. I fillet and cut them up and use it as cut bait. It's an oily fish and I usually have good luck on it. Being from NY, I like eating Pike, although w-eyes are better. I was also using garlic soaked shrimp that the bullheads were eating up, but no cats. I might start saving the B-heads and use them for bait. I caught a real nice 47" Pike in the early 90's, at Springer, that pegged my 20 lb. scale and had it mounted. Man, what a fight. Jim
