Well here in southern ontario the ice is going out and the cats will be coming. In another week or two the fishing will be starting and it`s time to tie into some more 20 lb plus fish again.
I look forward to this time of year since my brothers and I discovered about catching giant channel catfish as soon as the ice was flowing out of the creeks 30 years ago. I cant wait to see one of those big cats grab my bait and keep on trucking along almost ripping the rod out of the rodholder and then the battle begins.
I wish everybody else a successfull season and let the good times begin!

Yeah, gonna fish lake Erie for channel cats this weekend. Can't wait.

Oh ya! it was my buddy who won it last year and it was caught in my boat. We have been out a few times already and landed alot of fish already with several fish pushing 18 lbs.

ya that was a nice cat. did it come from the grand or did it come out of the welland river?, l was there that night he brought it in and it looked like one that would be out of the welland river.
