spring hooks

    i just bought some hooks with the springs on them. has anyone used them and with what bait did they work. they were on sale so i figured i would buy them and try something i have not used.

    Are these coil springs on treble hooks?
    If so they are bait holders. Mold your stink bait around them and they help hold the bait.
    There is another possibility. If it is a single hook and the spring goes from the shaft across to the barb they are weedless hooks.
    those are the only ones I can think of right now.

    These hooks are used for dough bait. Can also be used for fiber baits.

    They are used for holding different kinds of soft baits. Dip baits and similiar products.

    they are straight hooks and i am glad to hear they will help be weedless. that will help a lot where i am going fishing next month.

    they hold stink baits

    aw shucks,
    they are like the 2nd ones. it is warm today and if the weather holds until monday i am gonna go to the lake and try them.

    I have some like that and their great for dip/stink baits. I think their 5/0 but not sure? They also work pretty good with cut bait, helps it stay on pretty good plus add extras.

    Yeah those are baitholders.
    Never seen them in a single hook though.
