I really like the Reel magic spray lube. Been using it for a couple years now.
It seems to help a lot on line memory, and all around protection.
Whats your thoughts on this subject. Any better products out there?
Also I herd that WD40 is not good to leave on your reels for an extended amount of time due to breakdown of oils in your reel. Is that true?
No I do not work for the company or have any affiliation

I use the same thing (Reel Magic), you can't go wrong with it. It's one of the best I've ever use on my reels. I even use it on squeaky hinges on the doors.

Never paid much attention. I tear 'em down once a year and just use the reel oil that came in the box with them (Abu-Garcia). I just use vaseline on the gears. I don't like spray lube because any oil at all on your drag washers is a MESS and I want to be able to control exactly where I'm putting the oil. Also, I use braid, so no need to worry about line memory. Even on the once a year tear-down I don't find much dust and dirt in them.
