Spoonbill cats

    I caught one of these yrs ago. I see alot of pivtures on here. I thought spoolbill cats are sifters or none meat eaters. I'm I wrong? How are yall catching these? I also I think I remember you have to remove the black cord or cord that runs threw his back. Am I right? Are they good eating? I saved the bill on mine, dried it out.

    lot of people its snag season and you can snag them on the river bottoms

    Thought was no no, I always heard you could get busted for snaging.

    Snagging spoon bills is illegal in Texas. Other states have a legal snagging season. I belive there are catchable populations as close as the Red River near Texoma.
