i'm kinda new to big cat fishing. i hear alot about river fishing for cats. i have a nice size boat with a 55 johnson, rod holders, so i got the set up. i just need to know were to start looking for them on the river and what kind of bait to use. i fish jackson lake i know yellow river and the south river feeds this lake so if any one has any info it would help alot. i have not fished there yet but i have heard live bream in deep holes is the wayu to go. hope this helps you out!

try from 9 to 20+ feet deep/it helps to have wood or rocks present.they'll let ya know how deep they are.good luck

well got there about 5pm and started fishing for bait. cought some really good brim. found some good deep holes but did not get a bite. we had to cut our trip short due to the storm that was heading our way. i will be going back real soon. thanx flatheadslayer, catfish1083 for the info you gave.

think they are bedding now i haven`t cought a large cat all monthe . just a few small channels .
