when the weather clears next week i plan to start fishing sooner lake for blue's. i've fished the lake for years for hybrids but now plan to try the catfish. any idea's if the blue's would be in the warm discharge or the main lake ? i've also been told to fish the narrow canal seperating the two. any idea's?

I have never fished it , but I would try the canel if it is 20-30 ft deep. Also I would look for mud flats that the wind blowes into.

i'm not sure about the depth of the canal but the only way fish can get from the discharge to the main lake is thru a canal about75 yards wide if that & a few hundred yards long, so it should be a good spot to catch as they make their transition to cool water.

ya you can fish the discharge from the bank but it's about a mile long walk unless you have a boat at which you can park the boat at the buoys & walk 1/4 mile...
