I was fishing the upper regions of Claytor lastnight and marking fish with my Humminbire 343C at about 10 feet in 15 feet of water. Current was fast and I didn't know how to target the fish I was seeing because of the current. As it was I was ancored and fishing the bottom and did get a thing. We were using cut bait, live bait, livers and shrimp.
Should I have been drifting with the current, dragging an ancor or chain to slow the drift, using a slip float, free lining? Please help, I sure would like to understnd the varibles here when the cats aren't on the bottom.:embarassed:
