I received an email this morning of some guys that caught 3 fish this past Saturday with combined weight over 300 lbs somewhere between St Louis and Alton. Two were over the century with biggest at 113.

I would have guessed these fish to be spawning right now and difficult to catch, less the fact water is 9' over flood stage. Just curious to what kind of current and water depth they'd be catching them in right now.

Im with Jackson on this one. That 113 lber would be a $150K fish. Rumor has it the 114lber that was caught near New Haven this spring was offered $150K from Cabelas until they saw the pic of it hanging by its lips, needless to say it died within an hour of the picture. Of course its a rumor. Apparently it was on a certified scale by DNR and i did see pics, can't confirm about the offer. Id love to see some pics of #300lbs of fish though. I'll give ya $10 dollars to show me where they were caught!!!!! LMAO

for one thing, bass pro, cabelas can not pay you for a fish. call and ask, you must have a commercial fishing license to sell a fish, at best if you did have the license, they would only give you some where around 500 bucks, and it might only be store credit. as far as 3 fish over 300 pounds well you know how it is ( no pics.----didnt happen )

You are correct that they cannot legally 'buy' your fish. But that's not how they do it. They word it differently and pay you for the priveledge of displaying your fish or something, not sure. Heard from someone who actually fished with Pruitt before that he got about $200K for that 'transaction'.
