I have been an artist for many years, even though I do not paint now. I thought that I would share some with all of you. I love what I have seen here that other artist have done. My digital camera does not do a good job with the color. Sorry.
Most of these are self-portraits because I have sold all the landscapes and nudes over the years.

Nice group of fine art. Get back into it if you can and have time. And save some for your family.

    WOW Darrell!

What a shame you are not using that incredible gift you have.

I sure hope you get back into painting again.

And I agree with one of the above posts that recommended you save some for your family. I am sure they would be treasured for generations to come.

Post more when you get the chance. We would love to see them!

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everybody. I tried to make my living for 15 years by paining. Each year I would make only about $ 10,000 . Just enough to let me think I had a chance and not enough to live on. It broke my heart.
I began by taking private lessions from a lady who studied in Europe all her life. I was lucky to find such a great teacher. She only let me do nudes for the first year. She said if I mastered the human form, everything else was easy. I could sell them easliy, and that is why I no longer have any. About all I have left are the self-portraits and a few landscapes.I will post more soon. Thanks again for the nice words of encouragment.

Well i think you do wonderful work!... and yes it is hard to make a living doing artwork.... i only know of one man in south Florida who does but he does a tremendous amount of murals and other art... I also do artwork but am into wildlife and western art and can do portraits... ive sold since i was 14 but no way can make a living at it! Keep doing it ,,, its a god given talent and to waste it is not good,,,Id love to see more!! :smile2:
