Overholser June 1. Elevation normal, water murky. Channel catfish good on chicken liver and worms in the shallows. Crappie good on minnows along the west side of the lake. Report submitted by David Clay, game warden stationed in Oklahoma and Canadian County.

Just found read this on the state report. Seems very broad on the location of the channels since the lakes deep point is ~12ft.

The shallows on Overholser would be on the north end along and south of the old dam. Any where along the levy on the west bank, fishing on the lake side not in the river,
The west levy bank is very rocky, the blues will be nesting in there.
We cat some last Wed night.

The lake is only 13 ft deep, so it's pretty shallow all over.

Welcome to the BOC from Texas. Try 2 feet or less.

Mark Welcome to the BOC, from So. Illinois. Like others have posted, the spawn is on and I would fish shallow 2-6 foot deep. Good Luck.:0a23::0a25::0a25:

    Thanks all for the advice.

Flintman - what were you using for bait and would you eat the fish out of that lake? I caught some channels last year in the reeds on the north end and when I cleaned them the meat was like mush.
