Unlike bass fishing you must actually sit and wait for a cat to bite. If your having a good fishing day you shouldnt worry about this at all becasue well u will be pullin in fish. But when ur not having too much luck and you have to sit back and wait...what do u do to pass the time

when near shore i use a sling shot with 50 cal. paintballs and start shooting random stuff on shore. when not near shore i try to shoot straight up and down to hit us, this is extremely difficult do to wind.

:big_smile_2: My Favorite Things to do While Waitin for a Bite....

    7. Stare at my lines waiting for them to jerk.
    6. Paint my nightcrawlers with glow in the dark nail polish.
    5. Pass out cold Brews to all my fishin buds.
    4. Send telepathic messages to all the big cats, reminding them
my bait is sweeter and tastier than any other line in the water.
    3. Laff at fishin buds when they get grumpy cuz they know its true.
2.( this comment had to be sensored )
    1. Take time to remind fishin buds how they are being outfished by a
    girl :tounge_out:

I usually smoke, drink, pick my nose, and make fun of people I used to go to school with, and make fun of whoever I am fishing with. Actually I'm lucky to be alive for the last one. I never sleep though because I'm too busy staring tirlessly at my line, so by morning I'm real goofy.

During the summer I go around the stream and throw my net to collect more bait, if I have another rod w/ me I will do some bream/bass fishing (away from my cat rod), and the other thing I do is check my line for a fish.:smile2:

We just sit in our chairs with a roaring campfire and talk.Sometimes I have noticed it's so beautiful out there! Once I got up at 3Am and went by myself.I was totally enthralled as I watched the night fade away to dawn,it made me so glad to be alive. To hear the sounds of nature and the current is so relaxing to me!:smile2:

That's pretty much it, you never know when that one bite will come so I like to be prepared.

Sometimes I'll try and catch a little extra bait.

I usually drift fish, and have the rod in my hands actually fishing. In honesty I dont go longer than 10 or so minutes without catching fish too often so I don't have this problem. But on the occurence I need a brake, Im not catching fish, or I anchor down, I like to:

    1:urinate
    2:smoke way too many cigarettes
3:dig around in the boat for snacks that are god knows how old
4:drink a cold beverage to wash down the mystery snack
5:blame unsucces on fishing partner
    6: fall asleep

Just depends on where im fishing at the time. If from the bank, I'll try to catch baitfish with a cast net or ultralight pole. Other times I'll snell some hooks or sharpen hooks.
