I read this today on a website... and thought I'd share and expand on the idea...

Turns out, Im not a yankee. Im half "SalTony" and half "KlausAdolph". My wife is nearly 100% "SergeiMikhail" but there is talk of a little "GhegisAtilla" in her history, as she is a descendant of the mongolian invasion.... ROTFL

What are you? Come up with a good slang name for your linneage using two common names from whatever breeding stock y'all come from. heh heh:big_smile:  :tounge_out:

Ironically, "Saltony" sounds a bit like a cracker.... which I have also been accused of being. LOL

Well the southern version is a yank is anyone born above the Mason Dixon line on the eastern seaboard or any state that sided with the union.
A wankee (wannabe yankee) is someone born in the northern midwest.
The bestowing of a yankee is pretty cut and dry but bestowing wankee has far more leeway.

Well I found out what the Yanks call us when we move North..........Hillbillies.

 I'd much rather be a Hillbilly..........Nuff said.

    Sal,
I thought this was gonna be a poll, but instead it turned into a funny thread. Thanks for the smiles.

    Take care.
