Snow Cream

    An old saying, "If life hands you a lemon, squeeze it and make lemonaid"
    Well, today we got a heck of a snow storm.......think I am gona apply that old saying in a little different form.....

    Anyone have another recipe?

    Snow Cream
    Ingredients:
    1-3 cups of clean snow
    1/2 cup whipping cream or other cream of choice
    1 T. sugar
    2-3 drops vanilla flavoring
    Preparation:
    In a separate bowl, mix cream, sugar and vanilla. Slowly add snow to desired consistency. Eat and enjoy!

    Snow ice cream is good. But stay away from the yellow snow.:big_smile::big_smile:

    GLAD UR FINALLY BACK ON HERE!! and ya.. u did but since when do i listen to what you tell me.. remember the snowman?.. the one i broke my foot on?.. ya i didnt listen then either, some of you might remember me tellin u about that haha:wink::big_smile:

    Back to the subject at hand,I aint never seen a recipe for snow cream. My Dad used to make it when we were kids ,I wanted to make it for my youngest daughter ,but didnt know how,Now I do ,Thanks.

    I remember doing that 25-30 years ago, but nowadays I would have to send the snow off to a lab, and await results of purity before I would even think about eating it...unless it is necessary for survival. Mine never turned out very good anyways. More like melty gooey goop. I like Ben and Jerry's, and Blue Bunny though.:smile2:

    We don't know how true that may be Matt, and what a pity! Making snow cream with my mom is a fond memory of mine. Look at this post poisonpits made yesterday about the snow in Arkansas.

    Talked with my mom and got her old recipe ........ it's better than the first one! I made up a big bowl...... good stuff!!!!​
