I've eaten a lot of snapper over the years.I've
only caught a couple of decent size softshells.
But I have to say that I think the softshells
taste better. I've got to find a place where
they're aboundant so I can get more. I've
probably got 50 pounds of snapper froze away
so far this year. I'm not being greedy am I?

softshells do tatse better to me, but snappers are easier to clean. snappers have a better meat yield too. most of the time i ever got softshells was from moving water, maybe that has something to do with it? i don't eat them anymore, but do catch them by hand with the wife. we have contests to see who can catch the biggest. my biggest this year so far was 56 pounds on a spring scale. almost got a piece of me when i put him up there, haha! would have been a cool v shaped scar on my stomach. i have one here at the house that's a little bigger than a .50 cent piece. he's a ravenous little terd.

i don't think you're being greedy at all having that many in the freezer. i think it's smart to have a variety of good meat stocked up.
