Hey everyone. I will be fishing at a government pond this weekend. Just a large pond, but not oversized. It was once a smallish rock quarry. I know they have stocked the pond over the years and possibly every year. I've only caught one smallish channel cat from it once and that is it. Just curious if there is any particular way that one should fish rock quarry ponds or what to be on the lookout for!? Any help would be appreciated!

It is good to see you back Tanner. If the pond has any sloping bank that is where I would fish. Most have a place where they hauled the rock out. good luck

Hey guys thanks so much for the warm welcome!! And I'm glad to be back.

And thanks for the info! There is definitely a couple of places that have a steep slope into the water.
