small lake - Will it produce big blue catfish?

    the lil lake where i moved is a lil over 100 acers .would this lake produce big blues ?

    If it is like other TWRA lakes they catch some decent ones I bet especially since it has been there quite a while. I see that lake is 158 acres I never knew it was that big myself. Go out there and give us some real data.:wink:

    My father-in-law had 21 one acre catfish ponds. The experts from Texas A&M who were consulting said that one acre would produce x number of POUNDS of fish. A few big ones or a lot of littler ones.

    I think the quality of the water and the availability of food makes all the difference. If they can eat they will grow.
