thats great small lakes can be very enjoyable i have 2 lakes around 200 acres each close to me and 90 % of the time im the only 1 targeting flatheads and channels at them. both lakes are over stocked with small crappie and years ago conservation dept put flatheads in the lakes to try and slow the population of crappies . ive caught several big flatheads out of them and tons of channels. no jet skis or bass boats running around all over the lake its peacefull !!!

I wasn't there that day. A couple of my friends caught those fish. If you fish in my boat everything over 10lbs and sometimes 8lb goes back into the water, but if you want to keep them that is fine to. I figured it might stir a few folks up to see so many biguns in the boat but a lot of others might enjoy. They were caught on rod and reels using shad for bait in about 60ft of water. My friends claim they are trying to help out the smallmouth and crappie fishing in that special lake where only rowboats and electric motors are allowed.
    P.S.
The fish in my avitar came from the same lake and the full picture shows the guy who caught the fish last weekend holding two more of the same size.
