    Sandy Run,
    James invited me down to spend the day on the "Matherly Yacht" drifting beautiful Lake Moultrie, I could not turn that down! We caught 7 fish on the day and had a wonderful time trading, mostly me prying, Catsmack Knowledge. He was a great host and we had a smackaloooogalooo good time.:eek:oooh::smile2::smile2:

    We had Blues of 21, 23, 26, 28 and 5 with a RINGER! :eek:oooh::eek:oooh:
    42 lb. Flattie!!!! :roll_eyes:

    Thanks James for a great time and hope to do it again real soon!

    Jon,
    Great job. That is a awesome flathead. I didn't think they'd be hitting with the water temps dropping.

    How was the lake? I was going to go this weekend, but decided not to once I heard the winds were supposed to be strong all weekend. I noticed in you pics the lake doesn't look to choppy. Looks like I should come on down!

    Sunbird I had a great time and enjoyed having you aboard. & fish ad he only let me catch 1 and that was because he was trying to eat lunch.:smile2: Oh well he is a ball of energy and my fat butt must be too slw.:wink: The flathead was deffitantlly a nice suprise hit hit the rod a made about a 50' run to the right luckily only getting 1 other line. I thought it was a BIG striper and ws plesentlly suprised when he rolled up in front of the boat. all fish were caught drifting cut gizzard shad in 25-35ft of water.

    Chad kep an eye on the wind forcast caus for the better part of the day we were in 10-15+mph winds with 1-2' waves. If I didnt have a 25' boat it would have made it nearlly impossible to fish. Be careful if you go.

    Travelers Rest,
    Jon, I figured you'd been up to something when I got that picture text this morning. :smile2: Glad to hear y'all had a good time. I'm gonna get to meet James at the GA gathering. Maybe I'll have a chance to post a better avatar too. They've been telling me that I need to catch an avatar-worthy fish.....Keep it up, man. Looks like y'all are doing good!! I hope we do that well when my crew and I head down to the Lakes in May.....

    No I usually catch them in certain areas of the lake especially at night. My biggest flathead 62lber came while drifting.
