Anyone ever have a problem with catfish slime clogging up your pump and filters in your livewell? Tested my new livewell yesterday. Put about 60#'s in it including a 30#er. Worked great to begin with but after about 4 hours the slime had clogged up my strainer, filter, and almost stopped the flow in the pump. I'm sure I'm not the 1st to have this problem. Anyone have any suggestions????

If you figure it out, let me know! I have to clean mine often during tournaments. I don't think there is any way around it.:confused2:

guys! i wish i had the anwsers you want to hear, but unfortunently theres not an awnser!catfish are nasty! if its not slime, its other junk they can produce! that indeed is why i put the pre filter there, to make it easier to combat! so that it wont clogg the akwalung! which is harder to clean! all it takes is 30 seconds to rinse pre-filter! but heres the thing!

if its cloggin up, its workin!

i have to clean mine 2-3 times a day under a heavy fish load!
