Has anyone out there ever used boxes or hoop nets ? While fishing on the river today I stumbled upon a hoop net tied to a limb ,I did not know what it was until I pulled it up . Once I realized what it was I let it sink . Didnt check if there were fish in it (not good fishin etiquite and can cause trouble).I was just wanting to know ,are these a productive fishing method . I know you have to have a commercial lisence to use these. I think it would be a good supplemental income if someone would buy good eating size fish. Also would be a good reason to goto the river.:spiderman::boss::hell_boy:

There's nothing wrong with other means of catching catfish. just remember ,your children and grandchildren may need to do the same thing. take what you need and release the rest.just mho.

I have ran nets from time to time, it turns into work fast, some times you do good, and some times you don't, it's just like any other fishin, just cause you put out a net, don't mean your gonna catch any fish.
