using Ivory soap! We caught about 15 tonight out of the Wabash.
nice bro. keep useing the ivory, you mite clean up the river! lol
It floats so maybe they aren't wanting baits on the bottom.
We caught those in about 2 hours. Most of them were about 3-4lbs. About 6 or 7 still had a belly full of eggs.
The channel catfish are still on fire here too, I did quite well, pulling in about 9 today at Geist Reservior. Keep it up man.
how do you use soap
I cut the bar up into 8 squares then I cut the squares diagnonally across to make a triangle and then I just thread it once onto my hook. I didn't have a problem with it coming off during casting so it worked for me.
I've heard of people fishing with Ivory before...I guess it works! May have to give it a try...plus my wife would much rather have me crawl into bed at 3AM smelling like a "clean as real as Ivory" than stinkbait!
Justin, you ever fish the Eel down there for channels?
No I haven't fished the Eel for awhile. I HIGHLY suggest no one fish the Eel river below the dam to where it runs into the Wabash. It is very disgusting. Above the damn isn't bad but below the damn is a completely different story. I am not lying about this but it appears that the city is dumping a very small amount of raw sewage into the Eel from a large hole in the wall on the electric plant side. Plus it just plain STINKS down there. It is also usually packed with a lot of "not so clean people".
Congrates on the channels Justin. And it looks like one of us finally broke the curse Jim, congrates man. I of course struck out again lastnight. I did have one very good run on a 6 " pumpkinseed. Congrates again guys!
