slab seeker reels are on sale at b.p.s. for $8.88 and $7.88
Thanks for the heads up! Has anyone used them though?
I haven't used them, but if you are tightlining straight down from a dock or a boat they are GREAT. You can get right back to the same depth that they are biting at
 I own several of these on 10 and 12 ft slab seeker rods and they are excellant for the purpose they are intended to be used for. In fact, I landed a 5.65# catfish that thought he was a crappie and inhaled my minnow on one of these.
What kind of rod is it or is it a reel.
It is both. The rod and reel carry the same name. Both are good designs for crappie.
