went fishing agin tonight, and yet again i came home empty handed. i dont know what im doing wrong. i use baits that everyone says catfish love, such as bluegill, chicken liver, garlic seasoning, and hot dog. and i can never seem to even get bites, even in the great miami. sorry about this, i just have to vent:angry:
well thanks guys. i heard last night about a spot on the miami. guy said in one nite he had 5 channels, couple of 3 foot flatheads, and a giant 6 foot flat. i think im goin to give that a try soon.
alsoa friend a mine knew a guy that would dive into the ohio river to check bridge foundations and refuses to go back in because of giant catfish always coming up to him. said one that was about 6 feet actually hit him. its amazing what you can learn when ur down on your luck with the catfish and you ask other around the lake what they kno
I caught a 9 foot flathead on a 20lb blugill last year! :smile2: ..Some people do like to BS dont they? Anyways, Chris dont feel bad about getting skunked. I havnt had any good luck in the past couple weeks. Keep hittin it hard and keep us posted!! ...Kyle.
Sounds as though everyone is getting skunked right now I havent gotten anything in the last two or three trips other than one little channel so dont get discouraged just yet as for the diver story it is an urban myth seems like anyone you ask has a friend who knows a diver who goes into the river and sees catfish as big as Volkswagons and refuses to go back in have been hearing these stories forever not that huge catfish in the rivers is unrealistic but there are a bunch of excellent fisherman on this site and I personally cant think of one who has caught a 6 foot catfish out of any of our rivers or lakes.
Keep at it stay consistant and spend time on the water. It will all come together for ya brother....olj
