Hey guys a few of my fishin buddies and I are trying to plan a trip to fill up on skippies. We will be road tripping from Kansas City so we are planning a weekend. We were wondering when the best time of year is to go. I know they spawn in early spring can you catch a bunch during the spawn or when would you recomend heading that way and where would be the closest for us? Thanks for any and all help.

Hey jtrew thanks for the info that gives me a little better idea could you tell me where pickwick is located and any more info you may have to help me stock up on bait.

JTrew thank you so much for the insight just one more question, is there a boat ramp? We plan on towing a 24 ft. sea ark big daddy down there. Sounds like you got er figured out im going to share this info with my buddies and work on a game plan. I know there is no gaurantee when it comes to fishing we just want to be well prepared and go when the best chance of filling up on skippies is being we are traveling so far and gas prices are so high.
