can u catch them any time of the year and what do u catch them on?
The skips have seasons when they are easier to catch than others. However if you are in agood spot you should be able to get few.
They're definitely seasonal for specific locations. Below dams, there's usually a big run in the spring, and a smaller run in the fall, although you can often catch a few for bait any time during warm weather. When the water turns cold, it's really hard to catch them anywhere except at a warm water outlet at a power plant of some kind. They're so hard to get in my area that I make a trip every spring over to Pickwick dam to stock up for the year.
