does this work pretty much anytime? they are getting hard to find here in southern Indiana and I would be willing to make the drive to fill a freezer for the winter.

i have caught them when the water temp was 44 on spoons. if the nucular plant is running the best time to catch themis when no water
is coming out off dam. try kingston steam or bull run

    Hi

I posted a miniguide to how I catch them in another thread. Click here to see: http://www.catfish1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32229

    Good luck!

    ps
I still catch the heck out of them at the cumberland steam plant. You should be able to do the same at the tailwaters of any dam that contains skipjack. I catch the large ones off of sabiki rigs as well. The jigs catch only big ones for me but if I put an empty size 12 hook on the jig rig, I can catch little'uns also. HTH

The skipjack are still thick below WattsBar dam right now. Me and a friend filled two big coolers this morning in about 3hours, most were really big (15+inchers).
