me and my fishing partner went down to Barkley Dam Saturday (10-31) and caught 144 skips between 12" and 25", thats right 25 inches was the biggest. Hit it up while it lasts!

glad to see someone got on them, it has been a bad year for them for me anyway.... barkley is a pretty good clip for me, but hopefully that is a trend that will fallow to my neck of the woods.....

Good to know they're running there. I'll have to make a trip to the L/D in Greenup to see if they're running there as well.

Do you need a boat in order to get the skipjack? I would consider making a run down there, but preferably without my boat.

$$$ in gas to haul it down there. :confused2:

I filled a 40 qt cooler in a little over an hour. That was a pain to get up the hill! Pretty sad an hour to fill the cooler and probably 15 min to get it up the hill.

Did you catch most of them after we left. We filled a 120 quart cooler 80 quart cooleer and a 50 quart cooler. We quit because we where worn out. We got about 500. Still was plenty to slit 3 ways.

A friend of my mine went down there on Friday and had he said they are still running, he caught around 180, so things may be getting better. But you know how fishing goes!
