Skipjacks are hitting good NOW at Barkley dam.

    Stopped by there yesterday and caught over a dozen skippies from medium to large size in about 20 minutes. They were hitting on white curly tail jigs. I could see the silver flashes from them feeding on shad below the surface.

    Hey wolfman thank you for the info, glad to hear the skippies are hitting good down that way I know in June or July im going to leave and head down that way and fish for about a week, hopefully the skippies will still be hitting then to.

    We were catching them last weekend here on the Ohio river, at Newburg Dam Adam. But, it is nice to get away and do some fishing sometimes.

    I was there about a week ago and filled a 5 gal. bucket in about 30min. I think I might go again tomorrow and stock up on some more.
