can anyone tell where to catch skipjack in nebraska
missouri river or probably plate also other wise dont know
Hi walt,Skips are Hard to come by here in the Missouri River here in Iowa, and Nebraska. So we mostly use Shad, and Goldeye.I also have had Good Luck with Bluegill and small Carp.Hope this Helps. J.D.:smile2:
not many there :confused2:
hi walt! i do believe Johnson Lake near Lexington has a few Skipjack. could be small shad. not 100% sure.
You guys are a little too far north to see skipjack in any numbers. Living in the KC area, I still have to go south to catch any.
i wonder if our lack of dams in the area contributes to the difficulty in finding skipjack around here, for instance would it be easier to find some around Gavins Point?
the tailrace area of Gavins has a lot of Skippies. Some times hard to geep them off if using minnows. South side above the handicap pier.
I have can't help you there!
It's been a while, but I used to catch some in the Missouri River just north of Omaha.
